STEMbotix OttoBot – DIY Programmable Walking Robot Kit

Step into the exciting world of robotics, coding, electronics and STEM learning with the STEMbotix OttoBot DIY Programmable Walking Robot Kit. Designed for kids, beginners and aspiring young engineers, OttoBot provides a hands-on learning experience where you can assemble your own bipedal robot, program its movements and explore how robotics works in the real world.

Build Your Own Walking Robot

OttoBot turns robotics learning into an engaging hands-on project. Assemble the robot using the included body components, feet, legs, servo motors, controller, ultrasonic sensor and other electronic components. The assembly process helps learners understand how different mechanical and electronic components work together to create a functional walking robot.

Learn Coding Through Block-Based Programming

Programming OttoBot is beginner-friendly with block-based coding through the Blockzie platform. Instead of starting with complex programming syntax, learners can use drag-and-drop coding blocks to create commands, control movements and experiment with different robot behaviors. This makes the kit suitable for beginners who are taking their first steps into coding and robotics.

Program Movement & Interactive Behaviors

Bring OttoBot to life by creating different movement patterns and behaviors. Program the robot to walk, dance, turn, balance and respond to its surroundings. By working with multiple servo motors, learners can understand the basics of coordinated movement, motor control and robotic motion.

Explore Sensor-Based Robotics

The included ultrasonic sensor introduces learners to sensor-based robotics. Understand how robots detect objects in their surroundings and use sensor information to create interactive behaviors. This provides a practical introduction to concepts such as obstacle detection, environmental awareness and basic autonomous robotics.

Develop Essential STEM Skills

OttoBot is more than a robotics toy—it is a practical STEM learning experience. Through building, programming and experimentation, learners can develop logical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, programming skills, electronics knowledge, mechanical understanding and engineering confidence.

Learn with Structured AI-LMS Content

The STEMbotix learning ecosystem can support learners with structured educational content through the AI-powered Learning Management System (AI-LMS). Learners can follow guided lessons, explore robotics concepts and work through practical projects to build their knowledge step by step.

Perfect for Hands-On Robotics Learning

OttoBot can be used for home learning, STEM activities, school projects, robotics workshops and beginner programming practice. It provides an engaging way for students to move from simply learning about robots to actually building, programming and experimenting with one.
